- This template is for creating soft redirects, that is to say, short pages inviting readers to visit another page on an external wiki or site. This cannot be performed with a classical redirect due to technical restrictions.
- For all other redirects, please continue to use

If your URL contains an equals sign (=) then you will have to define the first parameter (1=) manually like this:
