To connect your Xbox to your network via a hub or router you simply place an ethernet cable between your xbox and the device you use to connect all of your networking devices.
If you did not have to assign an IP address to your computer chances are that you do not have to worry about changing anything within XBMC for your xbox to have access your network and the internet. However if you do have to assign a static IP address to your Xbox you may do so in Network Settings.
