Starting with the second generation, the Apple TV was moved to an ARM-based platform running iOS.

NOTICE: The Apple TV3 is not yet jailbroken, so you can't install XBMC on it. We won't know any details about running XBMC on an ATV3 until there is a jailbreak for it. We don't handle jailbreaks, so please don't ask when this will happen. |

- Requirements
- If you have a jailbroken Apple TV 2 running versions 4.1 to 4.4.4 then use these instructions
- If you have a jailbroken Apple TV 2 running versions 5.0 to 5.2 then use these instructions
- XBMC support for ATV2 5.2/iOS 6.1 was added in Frodo 12.0-1 and nightly builds.
